- Dara graduated from University College Dublin with a degree in law (B.C.L.) and a postgraduate diploma in business studies from the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business. He had previously spent a year as a student at the Université de Nancy II in France. Dara holds a diploma in property tax awarded by the Law Society of Ireland.
Following an apprenticeship with William Fry Solicitors in Dublin, Dara qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and subsequently worked as a solicitor in the Property Department of that office. He later returned to his native Boyle to join O’Dowd Solicitors LLP where he has been a partner since 2008. Dara specialises in commercial property transactions.
Dara is a former president of the Boyle Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Boyle Town Team and is currently secretary of Boyle Credit Union.
